Hotel EMC2, Autograph Collection

Hotel EMC2, Autograph Collection is a boutique hotel in downtown Chicago that boasts contemporary design at the intersection of art and science. It exemplifies the Autograph Collection’s campaign of being “Exactly Like Nothing Else”, carefully crafted to leave a lasting imprint. This innovative hotel and their inventive restaurant, the Albert, needed a launch that was as spectacular as their design, service, and hotel capabilities. They reached out to us to help successfully serve up this ambitious launch and to partner with them beyond the launch in digital marketing efforts.


An initially discovery phase led us to web building and a slew of digital marketing campaigns. For the hotel’s website, we featured large, portrait-like photos of the unique details at the heart of every visit and highlighted the intersections of art and science dispersed throughout the hotel. The marketing campaigns spread across a wide range of digital mediums, and primarily focused on showcasing the essence of Hotel EMC2 and how it permeates each aspect of the hotel’s experience.


COVID-19 Response

A couple years after launch, the COVID-19 global pandemic hit and changed the travel industry forever. 97 Switch was there with Hotel EMC2 when the pandemic hit, and helped them rebuild from the devastating effects of COVID-19. Through strong communication and flexibility, we strategically built Hotel EMC2’s digital marketing campaigns back up bit by bit. Now, Hotel EMC2 is back to their pre-pandemic revenue, and the Albert is fully functioning and back to dishing up imaginative meals to guests.
