Photographer Neil Wilder was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. His family moved to Toronto when he was young and there he graduated with a bachelor of fine arts honors degree. He got a job working at Ogilvy and Mather and later left the agency to go back to his true calling: photography. He started working as a photographic assistant for some of the top portrait and advertising photographers in Toronto. Later, he started getting his own clients and then opened up the first of the Wilder Studios in Toronto. He moved his studio to Zurich and, later on, to London where he worked with international celebrities, musicians, writers, actors and politicians. He's photographed for some of the leading international publications such as GQ, Vogue, Elle, Newsweek, Park Avenue, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair and some of his work is a part of the permanent collection of the London National Portrait Gallery.
