Born and raised on the small tropical island of Singapore, I have always been fascinated about the art and science of design. I am Aidan Huang, the editor-in-chief of Onextrapixel, a web design and development online magazine. I am also an ingenious blogger and entrepreneur who loves to see the world through the eyes of others. I like to reinvent myself as part of my job and believe that every design should have a purpose.

  • What did you do before becoming a designer/developer?

    I was a formerly a civil servant before making the switch. I have always been interested in art and creativity and often experiment with them.

  • Where do you turn for inspiration?

    The web is my primary source of inspiration. Other times, I turn to the real environment

  • Which are your favorite studios, designers or agencies?

    I don't have a particular preference on an individual or agency but rather focus on the work they produce.

  • Who do you side with: Team Mac or Team PC?

    I've joined Team Mac 5 years ago and never look back.

  • Is your city a good place for designers?

    Yes, though my city is pretty small, we do have some really good designers. Sadly we are often trend followers rather than setters.

  • Which technologies are you excited about?

    HTML5 and mobile commerce.

  • How many hours do you work each week?

    It depends, but I try work no more than 30 hours.

  • Do you listen to music while you work? Describe your playlist.

    I don't really listen to music when I work. I prefer the sound of nature.

  • What is your favorite book?

    I love motivational books. Drive by Daniel H. Pink.

  • What is your favorite sport?

    I'm a soccer fanatic
