A “Creative” person, lover of everything 3D and immersive 

Part-time, freelance to commence with the opportunity to expand, can be remote or hybrid 

This unique role will fuse visual, verbal and dynamic design into all your creative explorations. We’re looking for a 3D all rounder who possesses a unique blend of skills; you will be a visual storyteller, a passionate blend of creative and have a clear understanding of 3D production and real-time workflow.

What a day looks like:

You will conceptualise, prototype, create and execute 3D scenes, assets and animation for various types of projects from websites and apps to XR experiences and games for clients ranging from health and wellbeing to the Financial sector and all the way to leading Hollywood Studios.

You take pride in building and animating in 3D for products across experiences, web design, mobile and games and your experience has helped your innovation and creative headspace to grow so that you can combine beautiful 3D creations with the targeted client and brand deliverables.

You have 3D design experience that has been developed over the years, and you work well with developers as you implement designs, work on feedback, troubleshoot queries and questions and think through creative 3D solutions in a customer-centric way.

Responsibilities:

  • Modeling, shading, texturing, animating and rendering 3D scenes as both still and animated
  • Full workflow in Blender and/or Cinema 4D + MoGraph 
  • Create assets for mobile or AR/VR experiences (low poly workflow) 
  • 3D modeling and animation for Game Engines ( Unreal / Unity)
  • Work with lighting and advanced PBRs for game engines and XR experiences
  • Using Substance Painter for texturing (Substance Designer experience is a plus!)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Spark AR, Lens Studio and Adobe Aero
  • Interest or experience in WebAR / VR, ThreeJS and webGL 3D 
  • Experience in 8th Wall and zapworks
  • Experience with motion capture data through to animation
  • Experience in Unreal Engine or Unity 
  • Experience in 2D Animation using After Effects or Grease Pencil  

About You:

Ideas and Creative Thought: You’re an ideas person, with the proactivity to be on the front foot of thought that can be translated into a design outcome, and you can tell compelling, beautiful stories.

Design Experience: You’re a full-time 3D designer with professional and commercial experience in hard surface and organic 3D modeling of characters, environments and props.

Technical Experience: Experienced using 3D tools like Blender, Cinema4D MoGraph, or Maya - Texturing in Substance Painter, Character Animation and Animation FX using Motionbuilder, TyFlow, Marvelous Designer or similar - Compositing using After Effects / Davinci Resolve or similar.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You can take design decisions and at the same time work well on cross-functional collaboration, prioritising requests and feedback from different stakeholders.

Teamwork: You are a great communicator who can create visual concepts and offer recommendations to your team and others to bring designs to life.

Qualifications: A degree in Design and Animation, or 3-4+ years of professional experience.
