Interview: Active Theory Wins Developer Site of the Year at Awwwards London


There was a buzz in Central London this February as key figures in digital design united to hear talks from experts in UX, Web Design and VR and network with other top agencies at Awwwards Conference London. After awarding prizes on day 2, we spoke to the winners of the year. Here we catch up with Andy Thelander, Creative Director of Active Theory where he talks about winning Developer Site of the Year for Paper Planes, the rising focus on mobile apps, and the progression of WebVR.

It's got a lot of effects, from getting recognition from your peers in the industry to getting your business, like clients see work you do through Awwwards and they come to you because they see the quality of work you do, as well as a lot of students see you as kind of like an up-and-coming studio and apply for you, it effects us on a pretty broad level- as well as getting a lot of users to the site, a lot of visitor traffic.
