CSS is an acronym for Cascading Style Sheets, a language used to describe the formatting of a document written in a markup language. In more simple words, CSS is used for adding style (fonts, colors, spacing...) to web documents.
Awwwards recognizes the best of web design from around the world. The most valued sites of this CSS gallery will have the privilege and honour to be considered as "site of the day" and nominated as candidates for "site of the month".
In this CSS Gallery only websites built in HTML and CSS (HTML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Ajax, etc..) can participate.
All sites will be judged by the following criteria: design 50%, creativity 25%, content 15%, usability 10% (See evaluation system).
Each website will be judged by 10 members of the jury, the system will automatically delete the two furthest scores from the average in order to avoid errors by the jury. Only the eight judges will be used in the final account.
