Brand Strategy Jumpstarter: Defining Your Startup’s Role in the World

Brand Strategy Jumpstarter: Defining Your Startup’s Role in the World

In this class, we’ll talk about what brand means and why it matters for your startup. A strong brand explains why you exist in the world and helps you make decisions across all parts of your business -- from your product range to your office space to your team. It will get you noticed, build your community and make you money.

In the first half of the session, we’ll highlight lessons for startups using real world case studies. In the second half, we will introduce practical tools to help you build your own brand and use it to drive your business forward.

Students will leave this class knowing how to:

  • Create a brand purpose that defines their startup's role in the world
  • Bring their brand purpose to life across the business

Instructors: Melissa Andrada is a brand strategist at Wolff Olins, a global branding agency that has worked with Skype, FirstDirect, Tate, Orange, (RED), Macmillan and Microsoft.
