Museu Coleção Berardo is a museum of modern and contemporary art in Belém, a district of Lisbon, Portugal. We had a great time visiting this institution, lots of inspiration and fun.
And how disappointed we were seeing their website, which is quite discreet and archaic, comparing to the awe of their expositions.
So we've taken our time to re-imagine the look and feel of how modern museum should be presented on the web.
Modern brutalism web-design movement owes a lot to it's roots in contemporary art of XX-XXI centuries, so we just couldn't miss a chance to make use of it for this kind of website.
The style is based on typography and accents to keep user attention on the given information. Also, as this is a public website with lots of traffic, we've adjusted the brutalism styling methods to give a clear vision of website architecture and allowed easy navigation.
We've put our soul into making this website concept provide as much fun and interaction engagement, as we had while visiting the Berardo itself.
