Awwwards #LoveDays Conference 2014 - Bruce Lawson

Bruce Lawson, open web standards evangelist at Opera, joined us in Paris to talk to us about "HTML.next and CSS3 for Web Delighterfication in 2014".
His talk will show you some proposed CSS techniques that will not only become mainstream but also make your sites - and you! - even more sleek and attractive. Gasp in awe at the Turneresque grandeur of CSS Filters, quiver like Byron at CSS Shapes, look at some proposed HTML enhancements to make your sites feel delightfully performant, and all squeak "zut alors!" at {position:sticky}.

About Bruce:
He co-wrote Introducing HTML5, the first book on HTML5 with Remy Sharp, was on the W3C Mobile Web App Best Practices Working Group, and participated in the development of BS8878, the British Standard for commissioning accessible websites. He’s been front-end technical lead for the Law Society and Solicitors Regulation Authority web sites, tutor to a princess’s daughter in Thailand, a movie extra in Bombay, and a tarot card reader in Istanbul. He blogs at brucelawson.co.uk, drinks Guinness, and is STILL training for a blue belt in kickboxing.

Bruce's slides are available here HTML.next and CSS3 for Web Delighterfication in 2014.
