Visual Designer (Contract to Hire)

Push Refresh is looking for a visual designer who can take a rough idea, a wireframe, or a conversation and turn it into something exceptional.

We design and build websites and digital products for a range of clients. We're looking for someone whose strength is the visual craft: typography, composition, color, art direction, and the details that make an experience feel considered from top to bottom.

Your portfolio matters most to us.
We want to see work that shows a strong point of view and excellent execution, especially digital experiences you helped shape visually.

What you'll do
  1. Create visual directions and polished designs for websites and digital products
  2. Turn early concepts and wireframes into distinctive, usable experiences
  3. Work closely with our UX and development team to carry designs through to launch
  4. Present your ideas and explain the thinking behind them

What we're looking for
  1. A strong portfolio of visual design work, especially for the web
  2. Excellent typography, layout, color, and attention to detail
  3. The ability to create a compelling direction with limited starting material
  4. Comfort working in Figma and collaborating with developers
  5. The ability to take feedback and keep pushing the work forward

Branding experience is a huge plus. If you can develop or extend a visual identity and translate it into a digital experience, we'd love to see that work too.

For this role, we're only considering applicants currently based in the United States.
