Senior Front-end Developer

Hi there! We're Merlin — a Code Boutique that helps extraordinary brands prove what's possible through digital craft. We build high-end digital experiences where design, motion and the latest web tech come together, partnering closely with agencies, design studios and in-house teams to bring ambitious ideas to life. We're a team of five based in Amsterdam, and we're looking for a sixth.

We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience at a creative agency or studio. Motion, detail and accessibility should be things you naturally pay attention to and not treat as afterthoughts.

A typical week looks like this. You're building immersive experiences, working directly with clients and collaborating closely with our designers. You're making architecture decisions, solving problems that don't have obvious answers, and sharing what you learn with the rest of the team.

As a senior, you'll help shape the way we craft. You'll guide the team, share tricks and tricks, and help set the bar for quality and implementation.

1. React (NextJS)
2. SvelteKit
3. TypeScript
4. PostCSS and CSS Modules
5. GSAP
6. Framer Motion
7. Headless CMS (usually Dato)

We're based in Amsterdam. Working from home is completely fine, you don't need to be in the office every day, but being based in the Netherlands is a must.

Salary range is €3.400 to €4.600+, depending on experience.
