About West Studio

West Studio is an independent creative studio specializing in visual development, concept design, and world-building. For nearly two decades, we've partnered with some of the world's leading entertainment companies to help bring ambitious projects to life.

While games remain a major part of our work, our capabilities extend across visual development, animation, product design, branding, and creative direction. As we enter our 18th year, we're looking to evolve how we present ourselves online.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a designer, creative developer, or small studio to help us thoughtfully evolve our website.

This is not a complete redesign.

Our site already reflects who we are. What we're looking for is someone with strong taste who can help mature the experience, strengthen our positioning, and better communicate the scale and sophistication of our work.

We're less interested in technical execution alone and more interested in finding a creative partner who understands how design, messaging, storytelling, and interaction work together.

What We Need

Some of the areas we're exploring include:

1. Refreshing the homepage experience and visual hierarchy
2. Improving the presentation of featured work
3. Strengthening navigation and discoverability
4. Refining our About page narrative
5. Better communicating our process and approach
6. Updating imagery, interactions, and supporting graphics
7. Positioning the studio as capable of supporting larger, high-profile projects
8. Creating a more mature and timeless presentation overall

We have a detailed brief outlining our thoughts and priorities.

What We're Looking For

The ideal partner:

1. Has exceptional visual taste
2. Understands premium creative brands
3. Thinks strategically about positioning, not just design
4. Can simplify complex stories
5. Has experience designing for creative studios, agencies, architecture, entertainment, luxury, or culture-focused brands
6. Is comfortable working collaboratively and challenging assumptions
7. Can either implement the work directly or collaborate with a developer
