JACK & JONES is looking for a Junior Frontend Developer.

"Are you ambitious, passionate, and driven by following your projects through?"

Then you could be the one we're looking for to help us make jackjones.com the best online shop in the world.

The department

JACK & JONES E-commerce is a young and dynamic department driven by the ambition to be a leading online shop within the fashion industry. It’s an international environment with colleagues from around the world. As a Junior Frontend Developer, you will be part of an in-house digital team, working hard to make jackjones.com the best place for online shopping. You’ll join a group of elite designers and developers who strive to be the best and consistently deliver high quality sites and projects.

The job

You’ll be part of the team building the frontend of our online presence, with a focus on great user experience and usability. As Junior Frontend Developer, you work with every aspect of our online universe – from building complete sites or web applications, to helping getting new inspirational content online and optimising the frontend of our online store. You get to be part of the entire project – from start to finish – weighing in on areas like UX and UI. Our approach has always been customer oriented, and we make an effort to understand, plan and execute the best strategies to ensure our visitor and customer objectives are met, and we expect you to do the same.

We offer an opportunity to work in a results-driven environment with room for personal development and plenty of challenges.

  • Working proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • Basic knowledge of Javascript.
  • An ability to effectively convey information, concepts and ideas to others.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of XML and JSON data.
  • Knowledge of build systems, for example Gulp or Grunt.
  • Knowledge of preprocessors, for example SASS/SCSS, stylus and coffeescript.
  • Knowledge of version control, for example git and SVN.
  • Prior experience as a frontend developer.
  • Experience in Photoshop/creative work.

While experience and a degree in a relevant field is a plus, we value passion and a strong portfolio above all. We won’t exclude you just because you’re fresh out of school. If you have the passion, you’ll learn the rest.

  • You’re passionate about what you do.
  • You feel a kick when that project you’ve worked on is launched.
  • You enjoy challenging yourself.

We expect you to have a passion for learning. One of the key values in our team is to constantly expand our knowledge and skillset, and we are consistently utilising new technologies and techniques to ensure our sites and projects are cutting edge.

We look forward to hearing from you!
