With our upcoming SmashingConf Oxford 2014, we'll explore real-life projects, workflows and hands-on insights that we all can learn from and use right away.
Same game, same rules: 1 track, 2 conference days, 5 workshops, 18 excellent speakers and just 350 available seats.
To keep our tradition of organizing conferences at unique places, we did not choose lovely Oxford randomly. The conference will be taking place in the one-of-a-kind Oxford Town Hall on March 18–19, 2014, and since it's a Smashing conference, you should expect a few surprises, but we're not going to reveal them just yet.
Come and find out!
First confirmed speakers:
On Monday, March 17th and Thursday, March 20th, we'll be hosting full-day workshops in some of the most historic rooms of the Town Hall, including the city's Council Chamber and the old Court Room. On Monday, Lea Verou, Joe Leech, Josh Clark and Ben Bodien will provide hands-on classes on front-end, UX and designing for touch. On Thursday, we're delighted to have Andrew Clarke leading his Responsive Design class.
Join one of the intensive workshops with a limited number of seats. Tickets for the full-day workshops cost €349/$449 — including UK VAT (20%) and all booking fees. Please notice that the maximum capacity of each workshop is 30 attendees. Please note that a computer will not be provided, so please bring your own laptop to the workshop.
In the centre of Oxford, next to the world famous Christ Church College, and just a stone's throw from the iconic Radcliffe Camera, lies The Oxford Town Hall. The Smashing Conference will be held in the beautiful Main Hall; an amazing example of the Victorian Gothic Revival style.
We think you'll be blown away. From the amazing plasterwork and vaulted ceilings, to the enormous pipe organ and the chandeliers, you're in for a treat!
