Our aim is to provide designers and web-developers around the world with inspiration, useful resources and quality material. This, of course, takes time, and though we love to spend ours writing articles for you, we also could use some extra help. So, if you are interested in be part of our authors team, you are more than welcome to join us! Simply follow the following guidelines.
Who can be an Awwwards Blog author?
Anyone can write for Awwards Blog! Of course, you have to keep in mind our editorial line. That is, if you want to write about fast cars or fluffy kittens, maybe this is not the blog for you. But if you want to write about websites, design, illustration, useful resources and anything internet related, you don't have to be a professional to be part of our team. You just have to know what you are talking about and be passioned about it.
We are looking for articles on these topics among others:
HTML / CSS
JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Ruby, coding, programming...
CMS's - WordPress, Expression Engine, Joomla, etc...
Web Design.
Graphic design.
Typography.
Illustration.
Photography.
WordPress, ExpressionEngine, Magento, CMS, Plug-ins...
Mobile devices, iPad, iPhone, Android...
Useful tools and resources for designers and web-developers
Usability, user experience and usability testing
Freebies: icons, fonts, themes, templates...
A single article is excellent, but a long-term colaboration is even better! Take account that writing and researching for a quality article takes time and some commitment is expected from you, so you must be really interested in what you are talking about.
Articles do not have to be long. For example, if you want to share the work of a photographer you may just need a brief presentation. We are searching for powerful and solid themes not a lot of jabber. Be concrete, exciting and creative!
Obviously, solid writing skills are a must.
Our authors are getting paid on a pay-per-article basis around 100$-150$ per article. The amount of money depends on the length and quality of the article. Before your articles go live, we make sure that both sides agree upon the publishing and payment conditions. You can also put a link to your website in the "About the author"-section in the article.

Send us an e-mail with a brief description of yourself, your skills and your field of interests.
Include URLs to some articles or examples that show your skills (please don't send large attachments, just URLs if possible).
For your consideration
Please notice that not all applicants will be accepted.
Please note that even if you are accepted as an author, not every one of your articles would be published.
Your article must be your original work and not published elsewhere.
You must have a PayPal account for us to pay you.
Your article may be edited prior to publishing.
